NexOpen Tools: Downloads
Eclipse Update Site
Download your NexOpen IDE (NexOpen Tools for Eclipse) from our Eclipse Update Site. Follow the next instructions:
Prerequisites
NexOpen Tools works with Java SE 5.0, Maven 2.0.x (optional, it’s included in the tools) and Eclipse 3.2.x with Callisto Plugins. To get this configuration, follow next steps:
- Download Java JDK 5.0 from Sun’s site and install it.
- Download Maven 2 from Apache’s site and install it. This is an optional step, because maven it’s included in the tools. Use maven standalone as an auxiliary tool.
- Download Eclipse 3.2.x from Eclipse Archived Downloads.
- Install Callisto Plugins from Help>Software Updates>Find and Install… > Search for new features to install. Check Callisto Discovery Site and follow steps till you complete Callisto installation (WARNING this process could take a lot of time).
Installation of NexOpen Tools
Install NexOpen Plugins for Eclipse from our update site. Follow these steps:
- Create a new remote site in Help>Software Updates>Find and Install… > Search for new features to install. Write down the next addess: http://www.nexopen.org/update_1.0.x/m1. Check it and follow steps till you install it.
- Restart Eclipse again (Eclipse will suggest you with this option)
- Select the NexOpen perspective (Window>Open perspective…>Other) and then select NexOpen Perspective
- Set up your Maven 2 local repository path in Window>Preferences>Maven 2.
